It would be a privilege to help you navigate the challenges standing between the life you have and the life you want to have.
I’ve dedicated my life to empowering young people to create a life that brings them joy and satisfaction and I’m really good at it.
While talking is a critical element, therapy with me is not just talking. We’ll use a variety of tools and activities to make our work more interesting, memorable, and effective.
It’s about you!
Individual Therapy is typically a one-on-one visit in a private setting with only you and me present.
What’s said in therapy stays in therapy. Unless it’s necessary to keep people safe or ordered by a Judge, I won’t share what you tell me in therapy without your permission.
That said, situations come up that may warrant inviting someone else into therapy. For example, there may be occasions when support from me can help you through awkward conversations with someone important to you. Or, you may have a problem that depends on someone else’s cooperation for its solution.
When these kinds of situations arise, bringing those involved in the conversation for a period is sometimes helpful and we’ll decide together if or when to do so.
I’ll listen until I understand YOUR priorities.
You’ll be the one representing your interests, communicating your needs, and doing your therapy work.
You’ll need to come to your first appointment prepared to provide details about your physical health, your emotional and behavioral history, your family and social connections, your spiritual and cultural beliefs, and so on.
From this information, you and I will make a plan that prepares you to take control of the emotions and behaviors that are keeping you from doing what you want to do and being who you want to be.
And if you haven’t yet discovered what you want to do and be, not a problem, we can work on that, too! 😊.
Now, the work begins.
Combining my education, training, and experience with your history, needs, and preferences, we’ll customize your therapy to best fit your personality and achieve your desired goals.
I’ll help you gain confidence and learn skills that allow you to dream big and become: who you want to be, doing what you want to do. with people who matter to you.
Handouts, worksheets, games, puzzles, roleplay, and other therapeutic exercises are earmarks of my therapy process. These will help you learn skills to manage your thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
Homework between sessions will allow you to practice further and serves to reinforce the skills and insight gained during sessions. For example, if we learn a specific skill in the session, I’m likely to ask you to practice it every day until your next visit.
Together, we’ll overcome the challenges your facing and prep you to create the life you desire.

You can establish healthy relationships that bring you joy and connection through friends, family, and other social groups of your choosing.
You can develop ways of managing your thoughts, feelings, and behavior that allow you to become that person you want to be doing what you want to do with people who make your life better.
